Sports Premium

The PE and Sports Grant is funded by the government as part of the sports legacy following the 2012 Olympic Games.

The funding is ring fenced and can only be spent on the provision of PE and sport in school. Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport offered. This means the school should:

  • develop or add to the PE and sport activities that your school already offers
  • build capacity and capability within the school to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
